Tasks in three steps
Build it
Choose a game, a year group and the English your class uses. Add spellings, phonics sounds, word groups or pairs.
Share it
You get a link, a QR code image and a printable PDF. Put the QR code on the board, a worksheet or your class page.
Play it
Children scan the code with the Camera app, or with Scan class QR code on the classroom home screen. The game opens with your task.
Tasks change nothing on the device. When the child goes back to the home screen, the app returns to its usual settings.
Classroom mode (iPad)
- Everyone plays as one class: no names, profiles or accounts
- No streaks, Game Center, background music or break reminders
- Choose focus sounds, a spelling list and the game the iPad opens into

Set up every iPad at once
- Set up one iPad, then tap Share settings as a QR code
- On each other iPad, scan the code and tap Use settings
- Year group, English, focus sounds, spellings and games all copy across
Spelling tests your way
- Type or paste this week's spellings, up to 60 words
- Restricted keyboard: the letters in the word plus a few decoys, as tiles
- Whole keyboard: every letter laid out like a computer keyboard, so the tiles give nothing away
- Choose spell-it questions, pick-the-spelling questions, or both
Supports your English
Spellings, vocabulary, year group names and the reading voice follow the English you pick.
